image zoom anomaly in iBooks

A nice feature in iBooks is that when you double tap an image it expands to full screen, and you can spread and pan even further. However, this feature no longer works if the enclosing div is set up to float text around it. Is this a known issue? or is there any kind of workaround?

I noticed this issue as well. I don't know if there's a workaround -- has anyone figured this out?

You might try posting this in the epub forum too.
