Silk browser is now displaying Advertisments unprompted

Silk browser is now displaying Advertisments unprompted

Eg it pops a extra tab once or twice a day

How can I stop it?

Example: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...f10502d018453f

Fire OS is based on Android, so you can install another browser such as Chrome or Firefox from an APK.
If you do not trust APK websites, you can try the insider versions of edge since they let you download APKs directly.
Firefox China allows you to directly download the Firefox APK due to political reasons (RIP Google) http://www.firefox.com.cn/
Also, you can try installing play store on your tablet:

There is a download link on Mozilla's web site for Firefox:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...tablet-browser

And you need to 'allow Apps from Unknown Sources' in Settings/Security & Privacy so Silk will download.

And then you can set Firefox as the default browser.

I would recommend if only so you can have some plugins (e.g. Dark mode etc.)
