Create New Collection greyed out
Create New Collection is greyed out on my Paperwhite, and I believe that it is because I am not registered.
However, as far as Amazon is concerned the device is registered. It shows as not registered on the device because I have no Wifi signal. Is there another way to change from unregistered to registered on the device itself? Many thanks. |

Hello. If you want to use collections on the device you will have to register your kindle via wifi . There is no other way. Have a great day

Yep. Amazon adds the reader to your account upon purchase, but you have to finalize the registration via the wifi on your reader in order to create collections.

Do you have a local Macdonald's? They generally have free WiFi. You only need to connect once to get it registered. Won't need WiFi again after that.

Or Starbucks, usually. There are also several apps for your phone/tablet that will tell you where free wi-fi hot spots are in your vicinity (I think).

If your local public library has the internet you can probably try there as well.
