However, the studio is contractually obligated to the film, so it is considering other options. One option suggested has been to film Verdant Skies using Muppets. Another is to contract with an animation studio, preferably one known for its budget-conscious performance. The studio is now in touch with various producers of Saturday morning cartoons like Phineas and Furb and Blue's Clues, to see if any of them will express interest.

What, No! Production can't be put on hold! A few MR "Casting Agencies" have put forth some great suggestions.

I believe that, due to the Northern Hemisphere vacation season, some MR "Casting Agents" are taking more time off and finding it hard to catch up with all the incoming information when they do check in to MR.

[I have found that sometimes important information (posts by members / authors) is 3 or more pages back in the unread threads. I'm still trying to find out how to keep up within the limited time frame of the summer season.]

Please let us know what you have going so far. Verdant Skies looks very interesting .


P.S. I've been in touch with the Muppets Inc. agent and the amount they are expecting to consider this production would feed a Third World country for 5 years. On the other hand Blue of Blue's Clues may consider it if the contract includes using big plugs to his show. This would require the use of his trademark lead-up to all the clues in the story to any major event.

The original idea was to use a combination of live actors and computer-generated facsimiles (in the cases of younger versions used, or those who have inconveniently died) in a filmed production. As interest waned at the studio, however, there was talk of using these actors' voices for a fully computer-generated feature-length film. As interest waned further, it was suggested to use these actors as guides for voice impersonators and comic imitators to provide the voices for traditionally-animated characters or Muppets.

If interest wanes any further, the images posted on my site will be pasted on cardboard finger-puppets and used as animatics destined for a YouTube video, in which case, Rich Little may be called out of "retirement" to do all of the voices.

We still have not heard from the agents representing Daffy Duck.
