Using the Feedbooks.com Kindle Download Guide via Mobi2IMP and Impserve

With the recent improvements made to Mobi2IMP v9.4c it can now properly convert the Feedbooks.com Kindle Download Guide into .imp format.

That .imp can then be transferred to your reader using Impserve and with it still running, the links within that converted .imp can then be selected to allow the instant conversion of most .prc ebooks into .imp format. This assumes that the Impserve Plugins have been properly installed, especially the PrcConverter.py.

Please be aware that the initial conversion of the Feedbooks.com Kindle Download Guide takes approximately 2 1/2 hour of processing time off-line. The majority of this time is spent converting the .mobi ebook to .html and then it takes very little time to convert the .html to .imp ebook form. There are almost 15,000 hyperlinks within this ebook and that is the reason for the slow/long conversion time, but is also the reason this is a valued resource!

You cannot use Impserve to convert .prc ebooks that take more than 3-5 mins processing; otherwise the network communications will time-out. In those instances, just use Mobi2IMP to convert it off-line.

Below I provide you with a sample ( Kindle Download Guide (2009-03-18).mobi ) Feedbooks.com Kindle Download Guide that you can load onto your reader to start converting .prc ebooks into .imp format.

As usual, the ebook ending in '_1200.imp' is for the REB 1200; the other '.imp' ebook is for the EBW 1150.
