Can we stay on topic. This is about bargains, not how good the book is.

Not to mention, isn't this one a western, anyway?
Not SF, at all (which seems to be the object of the rabid hatred ... amongst his other rabid dislikes). |

Actually JSWolf at least has a refreshing angle when some of the threads turn into Sheeple threads because everyone is "supposed" to agree with the general "feeling" of the thread. Must we all be lemmings(yes I know it is a fallacy, yet it is a popular phrase). To paraphrase one of Dorothy Parker's review of a Theodor Dreiser book.... The only thing worse than a A Theodore Dreiser novel is two Theodore Dreiser novels.
I screw up on threads at times...C'est la vie.... but some have a bit too much conviction about certain topics.... And some like to put thorns in those convictions... |

This is a bargains forum and a bargains thread. You had to bring up dianetics. You continue with your dianetic bashing (a lemming heading straight for the cliff). The mod asks you to stop and you have to givev a smart alec response (a lemming whose gone over the cliff). And then you have to post yet another off topic post. I didn't know lemmings could swim? |

If either Final Blackout or Typewriter In The Sky ever show up as freebies - grab 'em. They're Hubbard's best stories. Both are dated, (so is most 1930/40 pulp), but I'll stack them up against any pre-WWII pulps by anybody.

Yes, as I've said before, Hubbard was a decent enough SF writer. Not one of the "greats", but certainly perfectly competent.
