K3 TTS problem with personal prefix Mr. and Dr.

Hi All,

I have the k3g and really like the tts feature. However, it has problem with "Mr." and "Dr.". Instead of reading "Mister" and "Doctor", it reads "M" "R" Pause, and "D" "R" Pause. This is really distracting.

For example, "Mr. Poe" is read as "M" "R" Pause "Poe".

Is there a way to fix this.

Thanks,
James

No, of course not. It is just the way the software works.

Does it work better without the "."? In British English, "Mr" and "Dr" are normally written without the dot (the "rule" is that you don't use a dot if the abbreviation includes both the first and last letter of the full word, but you do otherwise; thus "Mr", "Mrs", "Dr", but "Rev.", "Prof.").
