Now THIS is a crisis!
A Kimchi Crisis!!
Reporting from Seoul — Freakish fall weather has resulted in a national kimchi crisis, causing South Korean consumers to clutch at their purses, hearts and stomachs as they seek to deal with a shortage of the oblong-shaped cabbage used to make the ubiquitous spicy dish. With heavy September rains ruining much of the Napa, or Chinese, cabbage crop, prices have jumped fourfold to more than $10 a head.... http://articles.latimes.com/2010/oct...imchi-20101005 |

Arrghhh! Those poor guys! I actually think there is something highly addictive in Kimchi, once you start eating the stuff you can't stop.
I also love fresh Chinese cabbage, it's not smelly like the European variety and stays much fresher in the fridge, stir fry with a dollop of your favorite Asian sauce - very easy and yummy. And our local stuff is much cheaper at about $2 per kilo. |

Kimchi is great with eggs and bacon. Actually, it's pretty good with most things.
Except haggis. |

Ah, an opportunity! Exporting kimchi to Korea! Our supermarkets are crammed with the stuff, in all degrees of hot.
I've never eaten it with eggs and bacon, sounds good. |
