reading on tv

Hi everybody I am a newbie at this. my challenge has been to be able to lie in bed abd read a book on the tv screen. thought that would be simple no more struggling with bad light and heavy books late into the night. been difficult xo far I convert the ebooks to jpegs and read the pages as photos using the dvd player and a remote hard drive this works to a limited degree. the pages scroll faster than you can read them so you have to pause and play every page. anyone have an idea on how to do this better. cant afford ebook reader and why have yet another piece of technology lying around that has a single use

Get a used PalmOS device from eBay. They're like $20 a pop.

What do we have to work with here? Does your TV have computer (VGA) input?

How are you converting them to JPG now? This doesn't really sound that hard; actually the hard part to me seems like burning the discs, if you're reliant on that. What formats can your DVD player read?

convert files with a small program called ebooks to images. the computer does not attach to the tv just use a remote hard drive with a usb plug and a dvd player with the same piece of cake and oh so relaxing
