Removing blank lines between paragraphs?

I have a few RTF files converted from PDB files that have double line spacing between paragraphs. Is there anyway to remove these lines in Word but keep the indent at the start of every paragraph? How do I do it for just single lines (also common)?

Using find and replace with ^p^p and ^p works if I do it twice but it removes the indents.

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere.

I've tried reformating the file in BD but it removes the italics if I do that.

Is the indent a tab?

Could you do a final replace to change ^p to ^p^t ?

That works very nicely, thanks.

Looking at the files again, they didn't actually have indents in the first place.

If you click on paragraph formating, you can set word (2007 version) to indent the first line of each paragraph if desired. You can also set spacing between paragraphs.
