A real full screen mode
I use calibre on a netbook and the full screen button on the reader doesn't seem to do much more than maximize the window, leaving all the buttons and menus in place. Once I'm into a book these items are just a distraction and waste a lot of space on my small screen (and the space to the right of the scroll bar seems to be pointless, just makes it more fiddly to use the scroll bar)
It would be nice to have a fully 'immersive' full screen mode, like some other book readers have; just the text, maybe an optional scroll bar, and nothing else. Is there such a thing, or a hack to do it? Cheers, and happy New Year! Tom |
