USBID list?

Hello all,

I'm working on creating an application able to see any ereader connected to a computer, do you know if there are a list of USB ID (VENDOR ID : DEVICE ID) for kindle ereaders?

There is an International Agency (Regulatory Body) that handles registration of vendor id (and in some cases, device id) numbers.

But Pop's reference above is a quick way to all but the most recent ones.

Translation:
You don't have to post your question on each and every e-reader device forum .....
All you have to do is refer to international registry data base.

Ah, and if you have Linux, Mac OSx, or any other *nix system available - you'll find that database is already built into the USB utilities.

calibre also interacts with ereaders, and needs to identify different ereaders. If you browse the code for the device drivers you will find a mostly complete list of ebooks and the corresponding USBIDs, and every time someone gets a newly developed device they submit a bug report to get it added.
