Maybe try switching to the Kindle profile and reconvert and see if that fixes it. It's possible the Kindle Fire profile doesn't add the pdoc tag.

Unfortunately, using the Kindle profile didn't change anything. Copying directly to the Kindle put it in Books, using Send-to-Kindle put it in Documents.

I can't believe I'm being defeated by a tablet...lol

Okay you could try this program to edit the metadata tag yourself. Make sure it has the right tag. EBOK for Books and PDOC for Documents.

That finally got it to work for me. I was able to manually change that tag to PDOC & copy the file to my Kindle (without using email or Send-to-Kindle) & it showed up under Docs.

Oddly enough, even tho PDOC is what I have listed in the MOBI Output section of Calibre, the Java editor showed it had the EBOK tag. So somewhere I still have something wrong with Calibre not adding it properly.

But that's an issue for another day, I have a work-around that's doing what I want. I'll figure out the Calibre issue later.

Thanks for all the help. :-D
