I've had my K3 since early October, and I've loaded 75 books on the device. I've spent about $25 total. I mostly rely on time-limited freebies, free classics, and very inexpensive Smashwords books. Other than the initial cost of the K3, I am saving *quite* a bit of money. I used to go to Half Price Books 2-3 times a month and drop around $30-$40 each time.

If I tabulated all my ereceipts, the listed amounts would look like a ledger book from a small bank c1960

I have yet to buy any ebooks. I have been reading freebies and public domain stuff so far. But I spent $140 on my Aluratek Libre (back in March when that was a great price.)

15 were free, so that's 140, average cost $3.60. Not bad at all. |

Since the Agency debacle and the 'death' of Fictionwise I haven't bough many ebooks. I think at most it amounts to around $20.
I have however switched most of my ebook spending money to buying paperbacks since that seems to be the cheaper option for me now. My total spend for pbooks was $566 for 41 titles, but that includes some very expensive astronomy related hardcovers. For fiction only it's $265 for 33 titles. |

I have spent $949.77 since April when I bought my ereader. My previous total in pbooks isn't available to me right now, but the paperbooks probably cost me a few hundred. I have 148 ebooks on my reader at the moment. The number will increase tomorrow morning as I will finish my current book then. My average per book is at $6.42 which isn't bad at all considering.
