Unable to Transfer Books on Kindle 3

I have recently purchased a Kindle 3 and I'm trying to convert ebooks to read them on it. The first thing I tried to do was to transfer the Calibre Manual and Quick-Start Guide. I dragged and dropped them into Calibre, clicked convert, and after the process was done, dragged them to my Kindle Document folder. They never appeared on my Kindle! Then I tried emailing them as attachments to my Kindle email address, and once again, they never appeared on my Kindle. If someone could tell me what I'm not doing right, I would certainly appreciate it!

Why/how are you dragging the files to the Kindle?

Try selecting the book(s) in calibre and using the Send to device feature, while your Kindle is connected to calibre, to place the books on your Kindle for reading.

Sorry!

Thanks Dwanthny, it worked using the "send to device" link as you instructed. I obviously didn't read the quick guide very well!
