I bought a BeBook one 18 months ago. $358.00 w\freight.
It slipped out of my hand last week and the e-ink screen was history. BeBook said they would fix it for $175..00 if I shipped it to their location in Europe. Bought a Aluratek Libre for $139.00 at Fry's. I hope the LCD screen can take a little tumble without shattering, but if it can't a least it won't hurt my pocketbook as bad. |

Use the geeky wrist strap and remember to put it back in the case ;-)

Exactly. I just got back from a week-long camping trip with a bunch of rowdy scouts and mine doesn't even look dirty enough to bother wiping down with a wet-nap. The Libre is sturdy, but use the strap. I've had a couple close calls where the strap came through with flying colors.

I just ordered mine from ebay for $107.77, for what I have read this device will work for me just fine. I'll post my experience when it arrives.

I love my Aluratek got a great deal thru a tip on here-easy to use,seems sturdy handles everything I need it to!

Thanks uRwhatUr, I should receive my ibre today or tomorrow. I can't wait. I have lots of PDFs from work I want to carry on so that I don't have to have my Laptop all the time.
