BUG in PDF Reader - TeX math displaying
Pdf reader is incorrectly displaying math in TeX generated pdf files. Greek letter "beta" is always at wrong position as you can see in the images. It is really annoying.

Is Adobe's software used for viewing PDFs? This sounds just like a bug that was reported in the Kindle and PocketBook forums about two years ago.

If you have the TeX source, try recompiling via tex -> ps -> pdf

M92 has generaly several different problems with pdfs generated from Tex. Probably due to bugs in Adobe reader used in Onyx pdfReader.

It would be good to fix the problems. Converting pdf to ps and then back to pdf works.

Yes, the greek "beta" - this problem sounds familiar. I even think we had it here on the forum before. But it's good to point to it again, because it's really annoying.

Just wanted to point out, that this problem hasn't been tackled in any of the latest firmware updates. Instead it keeps frustrating me more day by day...

Fortunately, there is the workaround of using pdf2ps+ps2pdf or just printing with cups-pdf. But that's awkward and I tend to forget doing it etc.

Sure, it must be anoying. I just meant that Onyx probably cannot fix it unless Adobe fixes it. Also, maybe that pdf generatd by Tex is not 100% compatible with Adobe pdf in this point.
