64 bit and 505

I am considering changing my OS to 64 bit Vista. I noted that the Sony PRS 500 will not be recognized...a driver issue. I have a 505. Is the 64 bit OS a problem with Calibre and the 505? Thanks!

Must be a Vista Issue. Using KUbuntu 64 and 32Bit over here - and both systems detect the PRS 505 fine

No problems ...

Maybe you should consider switching OS ? It's Free, it runs

64-bit windows works fine with the 505. Just make sure you have the updated drivers and bios from Sony. I am not sure about the 500 but I now the 505 and 700 have worked for awhile on 64-bit windows.
