Interesting. I'd always referred to that as K4 or "King four".
Doing a bit of quick research, I discovered there are two basic types of chess notation; Descriptive, with which I am familiar, and Algebraic, from whence comes the "E4" designation. To show just how far behind the times I am, the first of those links reveals that the World Chess Federation hasn't recognized descriptive notation in over 30 years. Oh, and congratulations. icantbebothered says you're up! Last edited by WT Sharpe; 10-02-2012 at 04:04 AM. |

"Do Nazis answer prayers? No, that is God's business and I have thanked Him every night since He pushed Emil under that car. He could have done it sooner, but I thank Him anyway."

Another quote?
"They were confident and cunning. They weren't mucking around looking for nuclear weapon secret sloppy seconds in America. They could care less about America. They were busy with the whole world domination thing." And another: "He had denied himself children because he knew that no son could flourish in the shadow of so godlike a father! But when he heard what was theoretically possible, that I could create one day not his son, not even a carbon-copy but another original, he was thrilled by the idea!" |

Yes! Well done, as the quotes were by no means obvious. Over to you Hamlet.

Nazis & cloning, it seemed pretty clear.
So here is one. I probably will not be able to confirm a correct guess or offer another clue until tomorrow. The driver got out of the car and stood by the side of it, looking down at them. He was an older man than the other two. His hair was just beginning to gray and he wore silver-rimmed spectacles that gave him a scholarly look. He had a long creased face and didn't have on any shirt or undershirt. He had on blue jeans that were too tight for him and was holding a black hat and a gun. The two boys also had guns. "We've had an ACCIDENT!" the children screamed. |

A couple more then:
The grandmother didn't want to go to Florida. She wanted to visit some of her connections in east Tennessee and she was seizing at every chance to change Bailey's mind. Bailey was the son she lived with, her only boy. & "Listen," the grandmother almost screamed, "I know you're a good man. You don't look a bit like you have common blood. I know you must come from nice people!" "Yes mam," he said, "finest people in the world." When he smiled he showed a row of strong white teeth. "God never made a finer woman than my mother and my daddy's heart was pure gold," he said. |

Yes that is the one. That short story from her collection of short stories of the same title, most of which could fit into the "horror" genre category with no supernatural elements. Just real people doing horrible things to each other.
