formatting SD card for PRS-700

What's the best format for a memory card for the PRS-700? It's currently formatted as FAT32, but can it be formatted as NTSF (or is that NTFS?).

FAT32 and NTFS are different types of formatting. You can look them up on the web to see the differences. Both are looked at as mass storage devices. The following is from the PRS700 manual:

Quote:

A memory card which is not formatted in FAT16 or FAT32 may not be able to be recognized on eBook Library.

When formatting a memory card, format it using the formatter supplied with the memory card, or using Windows Eplorer to format at memory card manufacturer's default settings.

I'm not sure if this is any help, or if you use the eBook Library. I formatted my ProDuo to FAT32.

you shouldnt ever format a sd card as NTFS.

should always be formatted as fat32
for small cards under 128 MB, there may be gains for formatting as Fat

Is that so，Andybaby? I thought NTFS was a better format because my card is 4GB. Of course, if the reader is going to have problems other than FAT32 or FAT16, then no point in formatting it as NTFS.

under 8 gigs fat32 is better.

but for Removable Media, Fat32 is best cause of its compatibility (its Unerversal pretty much, it works in any system)

NTFS cant match that, NTFS is mainly for Windows hard drive partitions.
