I just used "10" as a shortcut in my post. On the Nook it is listed as CyanogenMod 10-20130114-N2A-ovation.

Yes, the N2A card version is the 4.1.2; the "Root My Nook" card is the 4.2 version. At the moment, I'm content with letting things stand as they are, but thanks for that link. I'll keep an eye on it.

It seems like anything that's really graphics intensive is going to cause it to heat up. That first one I had, though, that was getting way too hot just with mundane use.
