Use Nook 1st Without B&N Account?
I want to lend my mom my old Nook 1st edition with a bunch of ePubs on it. Do I need to have the Nook linked to a B&N account to use it or can I just side load the books and let her read without any activation?

The original nook, the one with the LCD screen at the bottom, was the only one that did not require registration to work, it was optional.
