Bookeen - Don't answer emails, a bit worried.

Hi Guys,

I put in an order of the Cybook on the Bookeen website last weekend, I have emailed them 3 times (from different accounts) about this order and when I may expect it. I have had no answer to any email, the first was sent 5 days ago.

I am getting a bit worried and am wondering if I should get my credit card transaction cancelled or do the just not answer emails?

Thanks for any help

Andy

Hi Andy

I advise you to look into this forum for other people's experience about purchasing and delivery dates.

It looks as if they just give a buyers information near the day of sending the goods and this can take days or weeks depending of availability of Cybook’s to be send.

Also the Cybook looks to me not available yet, as you can see from Bookeens website:
http://www.bookeen.com/shop/ebook-shop.aspx, but are expected to be available somewhere in May.

Hope you get yours as soon as possible.

Best regards,

That isn't unusual Andy.

I'm getting my third cybook from them and expect them to tell me just before it ships.

When they say not before May,they would probably start shipping them as soon as they get them.....just know that they don't work weekends when they have orders despite being a startup.

Email wise they respond very slowly/never though other people would disagree, customer service is still in development......as it were....

You can order from elsewhere but just have a look at the feedback about on different vendors left here and on the comments section of Bookeens's blog.

One thing is that the cybook is worth the wait....the downside is that one is tested to the limit of their patience....

I'm in the same boat you are Andy. Ordered mine sometime last week. I wish they could at least tell us which release batch ours would be in. I really hope it's the May batch, but it's impossible to know.

Will do. Here's hoping it won't be long. I ordered mine as a birthday present to myself, so while I don't expect it will arrive before my b-day, I'd like to receive it at least this month.

Oh, I ordered mine shortly after you ordered yours, so I expect mine to ship out soon too. Hopefully by the end of the week. I'm being optimistic.

Also, the new firmware and hardware being my first experience, I look forward to your reviews.

Edit: Wow. I just received notification as well. Yay. Only a few more days, then. Maybe I'll have it in time for my birthday after all.

Got mine today.......better navi key response...with softer back & forward fx & same old click when pressing on the corners of the button.

Faster response time with refresh...

Darn I got the brown case! Nice! which I should have had first time!

More news as it comes...

I can understand the battery life being less as a result of its being faster and being more accurate
