My apartment lease is up in a couple of months, so I was driving around the area to check out other locations. Driving through the neighborhoods I thought of this song and now its stuck in my head.

Oh my. Where's that bus when I need some wheels to go round in my head. I've got one stuck in my head which is anathema to women of my generation. And it wasn't even Tammy Wynette who sang the version that is now haunting me: "Stand By Your Man." It was a male singer. That's even worse!!

Checked my iTunes library. Bobby Vinton did a version?? Bobby Vinton??? Sheesh. I mean, I like him, but come on ....

Um. Yeah. And to think, he CHOSE that song, to sing. On national TV. Wow. Weird. It certainly SEEMS to be a song a girl should be singing! He had a much publicized romance with Tanya Tucker -- I don't believe he normally expects to hear a "him" ringing his phone. Could you catch what the audience was laughing about? Re the dancers? It looked like a visual joke of some sort.
