Designers covers for Nook...

I just received the e-mail from B&N with offer Jane Street Cover for Nook in Chocolate/Poppy...for $125

or Jane Street Cover in Bright Pink/Marmalade for the same price:

The price for 2 covers almost that same that cost of Nook.

Ouch! That's tough to stomach, but then I'm never one for "designer" anything. The problem I have with most nook covers is their reliance on "pockets" and "straps" and other doodads to hold the nook in place, when the nook comes with a perfectly good set of holes that covers like the Industriell manage just fine...for a lot cheaper.

I would much rather pay half of that for an infinitely superior piece of leather...

I <3 my cover from there almost as much as my nook itself.

What Fuzzy said. Oberon's designs are probably the best of the best. I wish I had one.

But, I am using the Alice cover. It's more canvas than "paper" and it is still secure even after me playing with the straps. And it was only 30 bucks

But, B/N did tap into an underused market with the personalization options of the nook. You can get just about anything you want for it, from them, for their price.

I am also anti-strap so I went with the Industriell cover. Works great. The prices of the "designer" covers are just ridiculous. Well, $30 for the Industriell is fairly ridiculous too, but there's not too many choices.
