Crap.
Lets not just take our own life. Lets take as many others as we can with us. |

There's always a nut out there. Good thing, for the moment, no one was killed or seriously injured in the office building. Too many sad events these days, like school shootings. But, this shows people can't be controlled. The world isn't as safe as some presume it to be.

It is too bad that this has to happen. There are enough avenues for seeking help that this should not have to happen. However, the fact that he (allegedly) set his house on fire, (allegedly) tried to kill family members, and (allegedly) deliberately flew his plane into an occupied building implies some pretty serious anger management issues.
Not to be considered thoughtless or uncaring, but you have to wish sometimes that instead of trying to take as many people with them, that these people would just nip off to bed, swallow a handful of pills, and go quietly. |

What's terrifying is that his last statement on his personal website is not rambling or insane, but actually makes sense.
His name was Joe Stack. He crashed his plane into the IRS building. This was a political act, not a suicide. http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive...102stack1.html |

EDIT: And what I find even more terrifying is that his opinions aren't out-of-the-ordinary. He's not a religious zealot or a fundamentalist nutball who thinks the 'End Times' are nigh or that he'll receive <insert no of Virgins here> once he gets to heaven. He's basically railing against taxes and the government. His complaints aren't unreasonable, even if his actions are totally reprehensible. Which makes me wonder how many of the people I know, or how many of the people we all know are capable of such actions. What was it that made him take that extra step out of anger and annoyance and into mass murder/suicide? What does it take, and how many more of these will occur in the coming years? Seriously. Will this change anything? NO. No lucid person would feel like it did. No one knows what lies behind the mask of 'lucidity' that people wear. |

And another nutter had his day. Why do they think they can change something by killing themselves as well as trying to do harm to as many people as they can?
