bookmarks bookmark slowly?

Hi I just started to notice this but in my PRS-500 when I hit the bookmark button it only took about 1 or 2 seconds for it to bookmark but with my PRS-505 it's taking a good 10-20 seconds.

the book i'm currently reading is on my SD card but on my last ebook reader I'd also read and bookmarked books on my SD card and hadn't noticed it going this slowly.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? or what could be going on?

Is it a particularly large book? Do you have a lot of separate bookmarks? Just wondering, I've had no problems bookmarking on mine, although I don't use the feature much.

it's a regular sized book about 1000 pages on the Sony but i've read longer without issues. Maybe I should do a soft reset?

How many books do you have on your SD card? It seems if you have too many, it can slow things down.
