Bookmarks different depending on how book is opened

I have several bookmarks in a sideloaded book. When I open the book from the Library, I see 2 bookmarks. When I open it from "Keep Reading" I see 4 bookmarks, 2 of which are the same as those I see when opened from the Library.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Yes, I am seeing the same behavior with a library book. Opening through "keep reading" and the drop down menu on the home screen seems to return to my last read page. Opening through library, it is like I've never opened/read the book.
