What's in the Kindle Touch 5.3.2 software update letter?
I recently updated my Kindle Touch to 5.3.2. Everything works fine, except the software update letter that never downloaded. I stopped the download because I thought the letter would be available in my Cloud, but it isn't there. Does the letter have any important information? Thanks for any help.

It doesn't. It just describes what has changed as far as I know.

Presumably it says the same thing as the update web page does.

Keep your Kindle connected to a Wi-Fi and have to charge the battery a lot more often.

So the file is essentially the same as what the update web page says. Thanks for all the replies.

Did you notice any improvement with the new firmware?

The improvements are quite noticeable. The Touch now supports cover view, just like the Paperwhite does. And there is KF8 support as well (not sure if that is new to Touch, but I thought it was).
Update: Turns out that KF8 wasn't new to 5.3.2 - thank you, Jon, for clearing that up. (see post "12) Last edited by DuckieTigger; 02-10-2013 at 12:14 AM. |

I heard that the new firmware uses battery faster and that although turning pages is faster, it also takes longer to operate (say, turn the Kindle into sleep mode). Is that true?
