Great books on Kindle

Don't forget us indie authors! Ed Patterson has just published the first volume of his Jade Owl series:http://www.amazon.com/The-Jade-Owl/d...WO/ref=ed_oe_k. It's very witty and well-written, and so are his shorter works. You might try my book, "War on the Margins" (http://tinyurl.com/6y973d ), about the little-known German occupation of the English Channel Islands during WWII. I'm thrilled to find just about all of Margaret Atwood's books available for Kindle. "Oryx and Crake"
http://www.amazon.com/Oryx-and-Crake...0562299&sr=1-5
is especially good.
I hope the books of Roberto Bolano, Michael Chabon, and Mark Helprin become ebook-available soon. Bolano's last book, "2666," weighs in at about 900 pages; it would be much easier to read in e-book form.

You know...I used to love the Dirk Pitt books. Read all of them until about 4 yrs ago. I got pissed off when Loren's dad showed up to walk her down the aisle. Problem? He's dead! And has been since the book in which Loren was introduced! I had a couple other problems with that book too.

They were fun though.

The Lord Peter Whimsy mysteries by Dorothy Sayers - the first one is Whose Body? and the whole series is absolutely delightful.
