Jetzt ist es offiziell
Was die Spatzen schon länger von allen Dächern pfeifen, ist jetzt offiziell. In einem Press Release stellt Sony seine neuen Reader vor: den 300 und den 600. Am 300er fehlen einige Details, die der 505 noch hatte, wie etwa der SD-Slot, er soll aber schon Anfang September für sensationelle 200$ zu haben sein. Intern hat der 300er 512 MB, was eigentlich gut genug für 1000 Bücher sein dürfte, was eigentlich für jede Ferien genug sein müsste. Ein bisschen Sorgen macht mir die Tatsache, dass der "antike" MX1-Chip hier weiterverwendet wird.
Der 600er ist dem 700er sehr ähnlich, hat aber keine Beleuchtung (Gott sei Dank), aber anscheinend noch einen SD-Slot. Der Screen des 600 sieht denn ersten Bildern nach dann auch schon viel sauberer aus als beim 700. Hoffen wir, dass Sony sich durchgerungen hat, die neue ADEPT Engine samt Blocksatz einzubauen! Ende August ist ja auch nicht mehr wirklich lange hin. Wenn der 600 Blocksatz unterstützt bin ich mir nicht sicher ob ich noch bis zum txtr durchhalte.
Obwohl es ja dann auch nur noch ca. 1 Monat bis zu seiner Veröffentlichung dauert (hoffentlich). |

Laut Spiegel kommen die Reader erst mal nur USA raus. Aber da die alten Reader nicht mehr produziert werden, können sie den Start in Dtl ja nicht ewig aufschieben. |

Die geleakten Bedienungsanleitungen gelten ja auch für Deutschland. Also muss auch hier zulande bald etwas kommen.

Ich finde ja schon bisschen eigenartig, dass Sony deutschland bisher auf unsere Anfrage noch überhaupt nicht reagiert hat. Vielleicht sollte man die Anfrage mal erweitern (wann kommen die neuen Modelle denn nach D)?

Na, das sieht ja nicht wirklich innovativ aus, was Sony da bietet. Und zwischen den beiden neuen Modellen wäre in meinen Augen noch gut Platz für den 505. Wie ich schon mal geschrieben hatte, 5 Zoll ist mir zu klein, auch wenn ich auf die Speicherkartenmöglichkeit noch verzichten könnte. Und den Touchscreen brauch ich auch nicht.
Und auf das Update zum Blocksatz werden wir wohl dann vergeblich warten... |

Laut dpa wird Sony anfang September einen neuen Reader für Deutschland auf der IFA vorstellen.
Ich persönlich kann mir nicht vorstellen dass Apple hier ein super Gerät bringt dass alle anderen übertrumpft. Selbst wenn Apple ein sonst gutes Tablet bringt wird es wohl von vorherein an der ausreichenden Akkuleistung zum längeren Lesen fehlen. Und die Bedienung wird wohl auch nicht viel innovativer als bei anderen Touchscreen Geräten sein und dass ist ja wohl das Einzige mit dem Apple wirklich punktet (iPod, iPhone). Ich würde mir jetzt mal nicht zu viel erhoffen. Aber überraschen lasse ich mich gerne. |

Wenn die Geräte schon keine Revolution sind, dann vielleicht der Preis.
Wenn nicht wieder falsch gerechnet wird: 1$ = 1€ Denn die 200$ wären ca. 140€ und das ist dann schon eine kleine Revolution... |
