Please ignore my first reply, I thought the thread was directed at me (before the thread title change.)

I read Harbour this year. It was pretty good actually. I've seen the movie Let the Right One In, but haven't read it yet.

I really liked the book LTROI. I thought the film was good too, but I've only watched the original, not the remake.

I was looking at Harbour just a moment ago. I might have to get it.

I hope to start Little Star in the next few days.

I like how Lindqvist uses tragic figures in his books, IMO making them very believable characters. Especially David in Handling The Undead.

You're right about tragic figures. The main character in Harbour is pretty damn tragic. His landscape/setting was quite bleak too, but I love bleak settings in books.

Me too! I'll definitely check it out.

O/T on bleak settings, have you read Dark Matter by Michelle Paver? Very bleak setting and a book I quite enjoyed.

I read two or three of John Ajvide Lindqvist's books and I thought the first one was really good and the best of them.
