New Plucker Hi-Res version available

Here you find the latest Plucker updated on May 22th. What is new?

Included the MultiImage branch in with the main development trunk in this version. (This codebase has not yet been commited to CVS, but you can run `cvs co -j HEAD -r multiimage viewer` to access your own self-merged copy)

New navigational UI when viewing images fullscreen

Altered the cache and uncompress functions to be more efficient.

Fixed the image caching issue on older Handsprings

Numerous improvements to the autoscroll and searching (Alexander R. Pruss)

Fixed an issue where the Zire 71 would auto shutoff after only using the 'joystick' to navigate

Scrolling up/down on OS5 hires now spans the proper distance, even if the silkscreen is down

The "Multiimage" feature is probably the best news since it finally enables Plucker users to download bigger images. More about that feature here.

I've actually been using this since it was available as a public beta and really like it. It's worth mentioning that this requires a MultiImage capable plucking agent. I believe the only one that does this so far is JPluckX 0.9 (I believe you need RC2 or higher.)
In JPluck you have to enable Tools-->Development-->Composite Images

Here some more details on the new hires version from June 11th:
  • Completed support for hires fonts, specifically: Added in Tiny and Small Fonts (OS5), adjusted the Narrow font so its no longer exceptionally small (OS5 and Sony OS4), updated the Fixed-Width font so its the right size (OS5 and Sony OS4)
  • Included latest code from the multiimage branch
  • Included latest code from the armlet branch (added a search armlet!) (Alexander R. Pruss)
  • Included Handspring Jogdial Support
  • Fixed a few minor autoscrolling/searching bugs (Alexander R. Pruss)
  • Fixed an issue where the scrollbar wouldn't use all the space in the library on an NR70.
  • Fixed a crash caused by jumping back to the library while autoscrolling
  • Applied a more permanent fix to prevent crashes on OS5 devices when bypassing the library to load documents directly
