Boox 60 stopped connecting to PC

My boox suddenly isn't recognized by the computer anymore. It still charges on usb but I get no popup with the option to connect.

I've tried different computer, different cable, different usb ports, upgrading firmware but nothing seems to help. I hadn't used it for over a week but had left it plugged in to the computer, which is used daily. Before it used to connect just fine. Now I think that the problem is the usb port on the boox.

Any other suggestions?

Charging it via USB can cause odd problems. Charge it via the wall charger for at least 4 hours.
