Hi Just Joined, and looking for the owner of a Kindle
Hi,
I have joined this forum to try to find the owner of a Kindle that found at Kansas City Airport USA on Thursday 10th Dec whilst travelling back to the UK. If you lost your Kindle, and you can identify yourself as the rightful owner by providing a list of your books stored on the device I will ensure that it is returned to you soonest. |

That's a very nice thing to do. I've moved your post to our Kindle forum to ensure that it gets the maximum exposure.

Hi picarson and welcome to MobileRead. Thank you for what you are doing. Hopefully the owner (or someone who knows him/her) will notice your post.
Is there a serial number on the Kindle? If so, maybe you could contact Amazon to determine who the owner is. |

Have you contacted Amazon, and asked if they are able to assist with tracking down the owner? They could probably send an e-mail to the owner.

what a kind and noble thing you have done! you've probably already done this, but did you think to contact the airline closest to where the Kindle was found? presuming it was at a gate of course. definet Karma to you! (but go ahead and read it while you have it!)

IMO, Amazon should send you a free K2 for your honesty.
Merry Christmas. |

picarson, i am really impressed by the trouble you are going to in hopes of returning this kindle to its owner ; it really goes above and beyond simple honesty. it's a wonderful thing to hear stories like this and know that there are such kind people in the world. i hope this good deed comes back to you hundredfold. and here is some karma, too.

I too would like to thank you for going out of your way to find the owner of the lost Kindle (sounds like a Dan Brown book ).
I would encourage MR members who are also members of other Kindle related boards and Kindle blog owners to send a pointer this way. Thanks picarson! You rock! EDIT: I did find a report for a lost Kindle at the Kansas City Airport but it was from October. Just in case, here is the link. Last edited by daffy4u; 12-13-2009 at 10:51 AM. |
