Temps just ever so slightly over 100º with the humidy pretty close to that. Unrelenting sunshine and almost no breeze. There were scattered downpours in the area, but they missed us.

A couple of degrees cooler than predicted. Which, after the temperatures we've had in the past week, was really nice.

93F and Real Feel of 111F supposedly but it's really sunny and really really hot!
My sister came over with some stuff for Maisy. I had to open the door. Pooh I now understand what instantly roasted means. It was like opening a life-size oven door! It's 72F inside but 77F in the living room. Maisy is chilling with me while Sweetpea likes warmer temps and is sleeping in there. I imagine it's about 88F in the litter room where our hot water heater is. It too HOT!!! Stay cool folks! Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk |

We have thermal drapes on the deck doors (they face west and get the intense heat of the setting sun) - and Stella cat insists on sleeping inside the drapes next to the glass doors. When she gets too hot, she flops down in the kitchen in front of the box fan (we run fans throughout the house to keep the air moving).

It is 81 in my living room. We only have one west window and the top half is covered with foil, then a shade, then a curtain.

Pretty much the same as yesterday.
For Monday the prediction is heavy thunderstorms that should have little effect on the temperature. |

Same all week ... high 90's F with unbearable humidity ... launching heat indices well into triple digit territory ...
My only yard work is filling the bird feeders .... |
