Announcing the redesigned SteveJordanBooks.com
It's like the title says, folks: The SJB has been completely redesigned, to bring the site up-to-date, better organize things, and give it a new, snappy look! (The upload was done on Saturday, so it might take a few days for all global servers to make the new site available... be patient!)
The redesign actually started months ago, but production of The Lens and participation in Read an E-Book Week forced me to push the project back. What you will see now is Phase 1 of the redesign. Depending on the comments I receive, Phase 2 may reinstate former features that have been removed, or create new categories... at this point, who knows? Check it out, and enjoy wandering around in there. Any comments on the site? Leave 'em here... I'll be around. |

Looks very nice, the navigation is clear and easy. But I have a quiestion... what on Earth is "411"? Just when I finally figured out what "101" is, a new number appears!

In the U.S., 411 is the number one would dial for information.

In my area, "411" is a number you call for information. So, I'm assuming that 411 means information.

411 is slang for information. It comes from the number you dial in the US for phone number lookup or "information".

That's right: "411" is gringo-speak for "information." (One of those things you sometimes forget that people in other countries might not understand... )

Thanks for the explanation!
Now for the real issues: all book links on http://www.stevejordanbooks.com/novels/bundles.htm are 404 (ha, another number!). Also, all three bundles mention "X great "Hard" SF novels" but I assume it supposed be "Speculative" and "Fantastic" for the second and third. |

Thank you for making a site that is accessible with images turned off.

Ah, you're right... some links that did not get edited! I'll fix that straight away... then it's off to bed for me, I'm afraid. Leave all other issues here, and I'll hit them in the morning!

Looks great Steve. Plus it was cool to read the news about Kino and Metropolis, I hadn't heard about it yet.

Steve, I love the new site design. I still have some more exploring to do but, I got a laugh out of the following: "Does an e-book fit through a wire? "

It looks great! I like clean sites, without too much hassle.
Oh, and I'd change that second "Commercials we'd like to see"... The archeologist doesn't dig up the reader, but a SD card (that was my first thought what they would find ) |

Great site, Steve, but I strongly urge you to get rid of that "411" thing. Almost nobody outside the USA is going to understand what it means.

So I see! That I can (and probably will) do. Let's see: "Info"... or "About"?...

"About E-Books" would fit the space, and be self-explanatory.
