To me this perfectly illustrates how stupid the authors guild was about protesting the Text to speech. There is no way that even comes remotely close to anything I would listen to for more than say 5 seconds... A good audiobook has inflection, different voices, and gives meaning and feeling to the story....

Except that we can expect that technology to improve, and they must have felt that it was important to defend their rights as early as possible. (Not saying I agree with them, mind you.)
