Good to know Calibre has a hard cap....I actually started using the re-size plugin to help with the visual annoyance of different sized covers in Calibre and on my first gen Fire.

(You mean the SS hack keeps getting better?! )

Since we don't have a "paid support" system for the Kindle, it would not make much sense to build in problems (to encourage users to buy support contracts).
