EVIL PUPPIES! They're cute. They're cuddly. They're craving human blood.

A few weeks ago, I was talking to my author buddies Mike and Rob. Rob had written a post-apocalyptic novel, which a reader compared to The Stand. Taking this in good humor, Rob joked, "I could have written a book about puppies taking over the world, and people would compare it to The Stand."

Well, Mike and I started joking around. We've had a few drinks that night, which helped. We said, "Well, what if we did write a book about evil puppies who took over the world?"

Late that night, I wrote a couple stories about evil puppies destroying New York City and Washington DC. Mike and Rob (and our other friends) liked them. So I wrote a few more. Then Mike wrote a couple. We all thought they were funny. It was an in-joke.

Then we figured: Hey, if we love the Evil Puppies, maybe others will love them too. Let's turn it into a real ebook!

So we did. We included our eight favorite Evil Puppies stories for your reading pleasure. Enjoy!

EVIL PUPPIES

For years, they were man's best friend. Nothing lasts forever.

We leashed them. We made them beg for scraps. We domesticated them from proud wolves into sniffling pugs. Now they want revenge.

As the Evil Puppies roam the world, city after city falls. New York rises in flame and puppy fur. Los Angeles is overrun. The armies of the world crash before them. Can nothing stop these adorable balls of fluff?

They're cute. They're cuddly. They're craving human blood. Man's best friend... just became his worst nightmare.

Evil Puppies -- seven short stories of adorable horror by Aaron Daniels. Included: Free bonus story by Michael Crane, author of Lessons (And Other Morbid Drabbles).

Thanks for reading!

Cute idea. Not sure if I'll jump at this one as I'm still yet to buy Firefly Island which has been on my "to buy" list for some time now. But we'll see, I think I have about $1 left on an Amazon gift card.

Regards
Caleb

Thanks guys. Yeah, if you want a "real" book, you should read Firefly Island. Five Star Publishing originally released Firefly Island in hardcover; it's now an indie ebook. You can also check out my fantasy novels Flaming Dove and The Gods of Dream; both cost $2.99.

As for the Evil Puppies... well, if you're looking for a short, quick break between novels, and some laughs, you might enjoy them. It's only $0.99, and you can read the whole book while waiting in line at the bank.

It seems everyone is talking about Evil Puppies.

Well, maybe not everyone. Maybe only a dozen people. Okay, four people. But they were kind enough to post reviews on Amazon!

Daniel Pyle reviewed the Evil Puppies on Amazon.com. He wrote, "If you're a fan of movies like Army of Darkness, Slither, and Bubba Ho-Tep, you're going to love Evil Puppies. For less than a buck, how can you go wrong? In my opinion, the Elvis story alone (that's right, you heard me) was worth the purchase price. "

Misty Rayburn also left a review, writing, "Ever thought your little furball could get away with murder? Well these little guys do! Evil Puppies is a fun campy romp that will leave you giggling for hours."

Frankie reviewed the Evil Puppies this morning, writing, "If you like your horror in short bursts, this is the book for you. These are stories that will make you look twice at the fluffy ball of fur laying at your feet. It is a horrifyingly wicked walk into the evil that 'man's best friend' could do. All I can say is, after you read this book, you will want to give your puppy some really special treats. I wouldn't kick the dogs after this read. "

Across the pond at Amazon.co.uk, P.J. also reviewed the Evil Puppies: "I actually enjoyed the humour in the stories, some of the almost throw-away lines made me laugh out loud. Saying that, my sense of humour has been described as warped in the past."

The Evil Puppies would like to thank everyone who reviewed them!

Thanks, I hope you enjoy them! It's a quick read -- just eight flash stories -- so it's easy to read it between "real" books.
