hi kovid, i'm now using 115, but the news feature still is not working, do i need to reinstall the recipes as well ?

I still think it would be better to have some sort of installer/chooser for the recipes so that when you install calibre it has no recipes at all. Within appropriate dialog you choose which ones to use from database of existing recipes and they get installed or activated in the app.
