My computer is afraid of Fire
Exactly as the title says... or almost.
When I approach the Kindle Fire HD to my laptop computer (no cable between them, bluetooth turned off), the computer's screen turns off, only the screen, and it comes back alive when I move the Kindle away. For this to happen the Kindle has to be pretty close, almost touching the touchpad or palm rest. Has anyone experienced something similar? Is it expected? Why? In case it matters, the computer's a Dell (1.5 years old or so), with Kubuntu Oneiric. |

It's the magnets used to turn the Kindle off and on with a cover.
