Looks like it's tied into B&N for content (although hopefully you could install any Android app) Companies product page... http://www.pandigital.net/pandigitalnovel 7" Color 800 x 600 Touch Screen Built in WiFi connectivity for easy download of eBooks, web content and more. Intuitive Android based interface Expandable - up to 32GB on SD/MMC Up to 6 hours of reading on a single charge I don't see which version of Android it's running. That is the price point I am looking for. The company also says that android apps will be available with the first firmware update which would make it great as a multimedia device. I wonder if the upcomming kindle app will work on this?

If I remember well, the battery life for this device sucks. Otherwise, nice thing to have a color screen and $200 is not bad. Seems more like a tablet device than an eReader, but nowadays the border between the two is blurring fast.

I was over at JC Penney's website and they have it up for sale now. It doesn't appear to be a pre-order. The thing is that they are charging $249.99. I don't know why it is 50 dollars more. So I think I will wait until it appears for sale on Pandigital's site.
