You should have a choice for those who do not have a goal.
Since reading is not a contest or race for me I do not have a goal. When I finish one I start another. Although sometimes I do read more than one at the same time. Apache |

I've completely failed at my proposed PD e-book-creating goal. I haven't even gotten through highlighting for proofing my first, very ironically-titled planned contribution.
I didn't have a reading goal, but I still haven't broken 100 new novel-length books read. Though I am over 100 if you include re-reads and combined shorts/novellas. |

Although my answer is 10 - 20 behind (18 to be exact), at this point its more "Go on without me", than just 2 corners away.

I didn't have a goal for 2012. I will set one for 2013, however.

In 2011 I read about 7600 mass market paperback page equivalents (based on numbers taken from the paperback version of each book I read). This year I'm at about 6900, but given how busy I've been this year I'm fairly happy with the result as it's only about 1 page per day less.
I did manage far more audiobook time last year, though. I got in almost 3500 page equivalents last year and only about 1600 so far this year. Last edited by twowheels; 12-18-2012 at 08:57 PM. |

I am on the home stretch, but that's where I'll be left.
I had quite a few goals this year and I will have reached all of them except my page count/books read goal. |

Almost there. No 51 I will probably finish tonight and the rest of the year for the last one. I never had a goal before and will not do it again. Makes me stressed, takes away fun and feels like obligation. I was more curious to actually see how many I can read per year and what my reading pattern is. Turns out I like to take a few days' break after reading a particularly good book to let it sink in. Otherwise I could have read more - but that's apparently not the way I roll. It was an interesting experiment and I will sigh with relief when it is over.

My only goal was to catalog what I read in a spreadsheet. I've been doing that, so I'm happy.

my goal was from April to do 2 books per week until the end of the year. Problem was I did not count on reading all 5 Game of Thrones books plus 4 other 800 page plus books. Mix in an inability to read for a month. Kinda put me way behind. I doubt there is a book less than 500 pages, most way more in my immediate future. I am trying to work out a realistic goal for next year. I am thinking 50 rather than 100 hehehe

I've got 21 to go, but I've got one ebook and two audiobooks currently in progress. I don't know if I'll meet my goal of 100 books this year - the end of the year came faster than expected - lol.

I'm sitting on the finish line.
But then I discovered I like writing and started writing....so I've got 4 books left, and will not finish before the end of the year. Unless I cheat and read like 4 short stories |

My goal of a book a week was a total fail! I hardly read anything all summer long so I'm hopelessly behind. I think next year I'll revise my goal maybe to 35 books instead of 52. I don't think it's possible for me.
