usb doesnt work, want to use SD only

Dear all,

I'm already frustrated with the usb connection to my Gen3, and would like to use a new SD card directly to store/update ebooks.
I have tried to create ebook folder on the root directory of my card and copied some ebooks, but they don't appear on the Library. I have tried renaming the folder from ebook to ebooks (with s) with the same result. Only ebooks which I have successfully copied previously via usb connection appeared.
The SD card logo appeared on the bottom right part of the screen.

How should I properly structured the SD card so my ebooks can be read

I don't know which firmware that I use (in the About it says Boo reader version 1.2, and mobipocket reader version 6). Since usb connection doesn't work, I can't update the firmware either.

Thanks in advance,

Bart

It needs to be "eBooks". Notice the capital B.

Linux supports case sensitivity for the FAT filesystem. The Cybook uses Linux and it treats it as case sensitive.

three things

1 -> You didn't need the USB connection for upgrading
2 -> 1.2 is pretty old firmware, you should update to 1.5/2.0 (and it may correct your USB problem)
3 -> When you insert a SD card inside the Cybook, the eBooks, Music and Picture folder are automaticaly created

Have you got a 200Mhz or a 400Mhz version?

4 -> If your Cybook's USB port is broken as in damaged hardware, talk to Bookeen.

5 -> some USB cables do not work properly with the Gen3, due to the narrow space for the cable. If you have another that fits, try that instead.

I'm glad the SD problem seems to be fixed. Just out of curiosity, what is the problem with the USB connection?
