Überhaupt lohnt es sich das Interview zu lesen.

Insgesamt komme ich wieder zu dem Urteil, dass sich der Text ohne die Hintergründe für uns kaum erschließen lässt. Zu weit sind wir von der beschriebenen Zeit und Kultur entfernt. Daher lässt mich der gesamte Text eher enttäuscht zurück. Was zum Anfang einfach skurril war, hat sich für mich dann nervend durch das Buch gezogen. Auch ich fand dann die Geschichte um Margarita lesbarer, aber letztendlich konnte ich auch aus diesem Inhalt wenig für mich ziehen und war dann froh als ich das Buch beendet hatte.

Die letzten beiden Beiträge haben mir sehr gut gefallen. Wenn ich dazu nun etwas schreibe dann bitte ich darum dies keinesfalls als Kritik zu verstehen, nur als gedankliche Anregung.

Es ist so, das wir in Mitteleuropa das Problem haben das weite Teile der Bevölkerung eher mit dem US-amerikanischen Rechtssystem vertraut sind als mit dem ihreres Heimatlandes. Das liegt an der Dominanz gewisser Fernsehserien und Hollywoodfilme. Deutsche Polizeiwagen müssen sich nun wie amerikanische Polizeiautos verkleiden um von der Bevölkerung überhaupt noch als Polizeiwagen wahr- und ernstgenommen zu werden.

Wenn einem ein russisches Buch fremd erscheint, US-amerikanische Bücher aber nicht, dann ist das zwar verständlich, aber man kann dennoch einmal kritisch hinterfragen woran das liegt. Und ob das normal und in Ordnung ist.

Russen haben eine ganz andere Mentalität, das stimmt schon. Die Russen die ich kennen gelernt habe waren sehr emotional, irrational, beinahe schon ins Wahnhafte abgleitend. Das ist aber etwas was in Russland als normal und positiv gilt. Es herrschen dort andere Werte und Normen als in Mitteleuropa oder in den USA.

Das Schöne an Literatur ist eigentlich das sie einem den Eintritt in ein ganz anderes kulturelles und persönliches Wertesystem ermöglicht, sofern man sich dafür interessiert.

Das ist etwas was im Internetzeitalter zu kurz kommt. Jeder sitzt daheim im Wohnzimmer vor dem Computer und ist nur schwer bereit zu akzeptieren das es auch ganz andere Lebensentwürfe und Wertsysteme gibt.

Vor dem Computer in den eigenen vier Wänden oder in der selbstgewählten sozialen Blase hält sich jeder für normal und für den Mittelpunkt der Welt. Und Literatur und Poesie und Kunst sind etwas, was dort herausbricht, da es in der Kunst darum geht, mal aus sich und seinen Alltagsvorstellungen herauszutreten. Das ist etwas was manchen Menschen schwerer fällt und manchen leichter.

Auf jeden Fall setzt es aber voraus das man sich seiner Alltagsvorstellungen die man so alltäglich für normal hält überhaupt bewusst ist, das man in der Lage ist sich kritisch mit ihnen zu beschäftigen, auch mit denen, denen man ablehnend gegenübersteht. Das ist eigentlich der Prozess, in dem Kunst entstehen kann.

Das klingt vermutlich gemein und oberlehrerhaft. Falls dem so sein sollte entschuldige ich mich. Es ist nicht so gemeint. Und ich habe es auch einfach, denn ich habe das Buch gar nicht gelesen. Es soll nur eine Anregung sein. Die Mainstream-Kultur ist niemals Kunst, das gibt es gar nicht. Und Kunst die nur unterhält und gefällig ist, ist keine Kunst, sondern nur der immer gleiche Kitsch.

Du hast leider oft eine Tendenz zur Verallgemeinerung und zum Schwarz-Weiß-Denken und zeigst damit nicht unbedingt die kulturelle Offenheit, die Du dem geneigten Leser deines Beitrags doch so sehr ans Herz gelegt hast.

Nur weil ein Künstler populär ist, muss das noch lange nicht heißen, dass seine Kunst minderwertig ist, denn nicht wenige von Kritikern mit "Des Kaisers neue Kleider"-Syndrom hoch gelobte Künstler sind schlicht und einfach unerträglich und nerven nur mit ihrem maßlos übersteigerten Selbstwertgefühl.

Ich denke nicht das wir uns so gut kennen um Rückschlüsse auf Persönlichkeitsmerkmale zu ermöglichen. In meinem Beitrag wirst Du so etwas nicht finden und ich möchte Dich bitten das zu unterlassen. Wenn Du Dich auf einem persönlichen Niveau mit mir unterhalten möchtest, dann ist das durchaus möglich. Dazu müssten wir uns aber persönlich kennen lernen. Mein Beitrag war sachlich gemeint und ist auch so verfasst.

In Anbetracht unserer Medienlandschaft finde ich das "normal", da, wie du selbst schreibst , sowohl der Bücher- als auch der Filmmarkt von der US-Industrie dominiert ist und mir daher amerikanische Verhältnisse (z.B. durch "Grapes of Wrath") etc. wesentlich geläufiger sind als die mancher Länder Europas. Und nein, gut finde ich das nicht und bemühe mich, zumindest was Filme betrifft, explizit auch nach Nicht-Hollywood-Produktionen zu suchen um mir andere Welten zu öffnen.

Das wird mir immer wieder bewusst, vor allem auf Reisen. Aber es sollte zwischen der "anderen Insel" und "meiner Insel" eine Brücke, und wenn sie auch noch so schmal ist, vorhanden sein - im Fall des eben gelesenen Buches war sie da, und sie war auch breit genug um zur "anderen Insel" zu kommen. Nur hat das Buch (wie vieles) mehrere Ebenen ... auf der oberen Ebene kam ich gut klar, nur die tieferen Schichten blieben mir verschlossen.

Deine Ausführungen empfinde ich nicht als oberlehrerhaft, sondern als Gedankenanstoß, den ich mir bei einer guten Diskussion durchaus wünsche. Eines der Kriterien für "gut" in Bezug auf Kunst ist bei mir z.B. auch, ob mir das Gesehene, Gelesene, Gehörte, Erlebte noch länger im Kopf bleibt und es mich, selbst ungewollt, noch im Nachhinein beschäftigt. Und das tut dieses Buch durchaus - also war es für mich gut.

Ich bekam den Hinweis von desertblues, dass es auf Youtube auch Filmausschnitte zum Buch gibt.



Dabei handelt es sich um eine Serienumsetzung von 2005.

Der Buchclub ist doch so gedacht, dass auch noch später Beiträge geschrieben werden können, es gibt keine Zeitvorgaben oder Reglementierungen.

Ich bin schon gespannt auf deine Eindrücke, vielleicht kannst du uns dann noch ein paar Sachen erklären.

Habe gestern wieder angefangen, bin gerade mit Kapitel 23 beschäftigt. Immer noch abgedreht, aber jetzt eher "normale" Fantasy habe ich den Eindruck. Teil 2 gefällt mir bisher besser als Teil 1

Ich bin leider noch kein bisschen weitergekommen. Zu viel Arbeit und die Kinder haben Ferien. Nächste Woche steht nochmal eine mehrstündige Zugfahrt an, da schaffe ich dann hoffentlich wieder ein gutes Stück.

Ich weiß nicht, ob ich überhaupt qualifiziert bin, hier mitzureden, aber ich habe gestern mit dem Hörspiel (10 CDs) angefangen. Etwas anderes hatte unsere Bibliothek zur sofortigen Ausleihe leider nicht anzubieten. Aber nachdem mir die Leseprobe auf dem Kindle recht gut gefallen hat, bin ich doch neugierig geworden.

Ich erinnere mich auch dunkel, dass mein lokaler Buchhändler mir vor längerer Zeit ein Buch empfohlen hat, wo der Teufel nach Moskau kommt und dort alles auf den Kopf stellt. Das kann eigentlich nur Der Meister und Margarita gewesen sein, zumal es durchaus in das "Beuteschema" besagten Buchhändlers passen würde.

Ich bin gestern nicht mehr wirklich weit gekommen, nur bis zu der Stelle, wo einer der Literaturkritiker seinen Kopf verliert. Ich bin schon gespannt, wie es weitergeht und wie sich die Szenen mit Pontius Pilatus ins Ganze einfügen.

So, fertig.

Also Teil zwei scheint er geschrieben zu haben nachdem er vom Drogentrip des ersten Teils wieder runtergekommen ist.
Hat mir sehr gut gefallen und am Ende hat dann doch noch alles einen Sinn ergeben.

Zugegebenermassen fehlen mir auch viele Bezüge aus der UDSSR und auch ein paar bekannte ältere Russen konnten mir da nicht sonderlich viel weiterhelfen, so alt waren sie dann doch noch nicht.

Also, mich hat das Ganze ebenfalls etwas ratlos zurückgelassen. Natürlich ist es eine Persiflage, aber meine Kenntnisse über das Leben in der UDSSR sind ebenfalls nicht sehr umfassend.

Im Gegensatz zu troll05 hatte ich jedoch nicht den Eindruck, dass der Autor im 2. Teil weniger auf dem Drogentrip war. Der Schluss hat mich ehrlich gesagt etwas enttäuscht.

Ist es tatsächlich so, dass alles nur ein Traum bzw. die Hirngespinste eines psychisch Kranken waren? Oder habe ich da etwas völlig falsch verstanden? Falls dem tatsächlich so wäre, fände ich die Auflösung doch etwas einfallslos und fühle mich als Leser betrogen. Seit Alice im Wunderland sollte es sich eigentlich kein Autor so leicht machen. - April April, oder wie?
