Is it possible to add a “sticky note” ?
I know that you can directly annotate pdfs with the stylus, however, writing a long annotation on the blank margins of a page could be very impractical.
Is it possible to add a note in a floating window that hovers over the pdf page and that can be closed when you don't need it? For example, like this: Thanks in advance for your answers. |

I'd love to see such a thing but as far as I know it's not possible. At least for now.

Not possible currently, AFAIK, but a great idea! If its not there already, someone should put it up in the feature request thread.
Since iRex stores all annotations in a separate metadata db anyway, this should not be too difficult to implement. |

Thanks guys.
I really thought that the dr1000 had such a capability, but as you said that's not the case. Even the kindle 2 has a similar function: |

It is a great idea, It should be implemented in New PDF Viewer and sticky can be both scribble and text.

I don't care about Kindle. I just hope we'll have the sticky note function.

Yes, you are correct. However it doesn't mean that a "sticky note" is less useful on a touch-enabled reader. On the contrary, you could make full use of the touchscreen capability writing directly on the sticky note.

True, I was just speculating as to the thought process behind the design. I don't think either company thought about doing both, it was probably more a "one or the other" type design.
You're right though, nothing is stopping iRex from adding both. It's just a matter of spending time/resources to develop it. |
