ERROR: Invalid template: <p>The template {author_sort:.2} - {title} is invalid:<br>format: unknown format type letter 2

what's wrong with {author_sort:.2} - {title} ?
i have this expression from the user_manual.

This is a bug. I recently improved the template language to handle numbers correctly, and I didn't see the small note in the documentation that says that one can leave off the format type. I will fix it.

In the meantime, use {author_sort:.2s}
