I find my husband's iPad too heavy and awkward to hold, the result of a badly broken left arm which now has two plates and five screws in it. Do you think there is enough of a difference in the iPad 2 that it is easier to hold? That is the one thing that has stopped me getting an iPad, it is just to hard for me to hold it to use unless I am at a table.
Not that we can get one yet, they won't be in Australia until March 25! |

Is lighter? Yes. Is thinner. Yes. But in terms of weight is not a huge difference. If they can make this 14 oz or so, I would say is the perfect weight for that size. But it is not certainly a light device ( in my opinion). Of course, I find reading my 1000 pages MySql book more pleasant on my iPad but that's a huge book. |

I usually only run into limits for "professional" books. For belletristic I usually can have 6 and more copies. But the process works flawlessly. When running into any limit, I delete 1 unit from my account, then I instantly can download on the remaining units. |

I wasn't asking about the docking cable; I was asking if the iPad 2 still requires more current to charge than the USB standard specifies - ie, if it still needs a 10W charger, rather than the standard USB 5W. It sounds as if the answer is "yes".

But yes, still requires more current to charge than standard USB cables. And makes sense, based on the amount of power a USB port can supply vs what the iPad requires to charge and works. |

Thanks MG,
Yes, I had to delete my MySQL book from GT, sync there and then re-download on iPad again. Couple of additional comments, minor bugs: Had to reinstall Zinio and re-download magazines. It was not opening existing purchases even after I deleted and re-download. And GarageBand crashed the system really bad. It froze the iPad and had to restart the system. It happened to my wife, she freaks out because every time she uses a PC or device something happens, lol ... |

Ordered mine online through apple as we don't have an Apple store here. Got my original up for sale on EBay. Hoping that iPad 2 will arrive as my auction concludes next week. |

Harry, I believe it has the same issue as the iPad 1.

I figured a lot of people would be unloading them. A visit to craigslist netted me a 32gb wifi for $380. With a cover. The wife is all over it, she likes her iPod touch, so this suits her.
