Sony Reader Store Credit

I've got quite of bit of credit in my Reader Store Account. Does anyone know if it can be used to buy the new Readers, or is it just for books?

AFAIK it is just for books. The Reader store and the Sony Style site appear to be completely separate. However, it would not cost anything to call customer service and ask. Perhaps there is a way that they for transfer or convert your account, but I doubt it.
